Workshop: Fabric Dyeing with Pam Ambrosio

Time: 1pm-5pm

Cost:  $12 (payment button below for workshop)
            Plus Kit Fee of $25 for supplies (due to Pam)

Description: Join us for this outdoor session as we learn about dyeing techniques from talented CHQ member Pam.  This is a hands on workshop.

1.  Attendees need to wear messy clothes or bring an apron.

2.  Gloves will be supplied.

3.  Masks are optional.

4.  Bring plain white fabric, 4-5 pieces, 1/4 to 1/2 yd cuts.

(Pam will have a bolt of PFD ("Prepare For Dye") fabric on hand for sale, if people need fabric.)

5.  If someone wishes to dye a t-shirt Pam will have some aluminum pans on hand.

6.  Bring containers to use for your dyed Fabric; anything with a lid - jars, food containers, such as large yogurt containers, "Talenti" ice cream jars, peanut butter pretzel jars. (Pam will have a few)(These jars will help you get your projects home safely)

Lecture:  Kaffe & Morris: A color collaboration across time
Marisa Simon , NJ Free Spirit Fabric Sales Representative, will speak about the recent collaboration of Morris & Co, with a 150 year influence on the decorative arts and Kaffe Fassett, well known for his influence on color and pattern in the craft industry. Learn why this collaboration between the father of the Arts & Crafts movement and a modern day color genius works so well.
