A Courthouse Quilters Exhibit
The Lebanon Township Museum is proud to celebrate this historic centennial with a two-month celebration that begins with an Opening Reception on Saturday February 1st from 1-3 pm (snow date February 8th)
Lebanon Township Museum
57 Musconetcong River Road
Hampton NJ 08827
At the heart of our exhibit is a collection of never-before-seen quilts specifically created to celebrate suffrage created by talented members of The Courthouse Quilters. Also included will be historic artifacts from the Museum including recently discovered turn-of-the century honeycomb glass and wooden ballot boxes that were last used in Lebanon Township in 1970.
Our special guest speaker for the Opening Reception is Rielly Karsh, founder of Moms Running. Moms Running bills itself as an organization that is actively redefining motherhood in politics across the globe. A seasoned keynote speaker, Rielly has a passion for inspiring people to seek their full potential while also seeking to be engaged and active citizens.
Quilts celebrating the 100th anniversary of Women’s Suffrage in the United States. In 1920, the U.S passed the 19th Amendment giving women the right to vote. New Jersey passed the amendment in February 1920, so the museum curator would like to display our quilts for the month of February 2020. (click here for details)
